Yesterday, residents of the U.K. voted to exit the EU. That means business as usual - social, cultural and economic - will never be the same. What will be? No one knows. No surprise, the uncertainty brought down the DOW more than 600 points.
Fortunately, many of us Baby Boomers have learned to navigate uncertainty. Sure, we still have meltdowns. But essentially we are learning to enjoy our own new world order.
I have less money to spend because, as research predicted, I earn less as I age. But I need less. My ego no longer requires a large first residence and a getaway near the ocean.
I no longer struggle with what is. I am no longer young. And that's the way it is.
Because I am no longer totally career-centric, I have friends in all social and economic classes. Gosh, only now I realize what I had been missing restricting myself to The Professional Class.
Again, we Baby Boomers might be ahead of the curve. We had changed while the world was still assuming it was, well, business as usual.
