So many of colleagues my age have admitted to be totally stressed-out. This weekend not one said he or she is going to work. That includes me.
Originally I had decided to use the long holiday weekend to start my campaign for pitching my marketing communications services to local wellness facilities. This part of Arizona is a setting for where the pampered, the addicted, and the broken come to start over. It's big business. And I want a piece of it.
But instead, I will leave that plan until next Tuesday. I went to the wonderful Woods public library here and checked out more books than I can probably read on my patio, starting tomorrow afternoon. I accepted invitations for two cookouts. The Loft Cinema, an independent movie house, has a bunch of oldies. And my four-footer son LOV will get all the long walks he can handle in the Southwest heat.
